CCM Hockey Skates

CCM is Bauer's primary competitor and the second most popular skate brand in the NHL. CCM currently offers two main skate lines. The Jetspeed line is designed for speed and agility — a snug heel lock with more room in the forefoot, an aggressive forward pitch, and a one-piece RocketFrame composite shell for maximum energy transfer. Players like Nikita Kucherov and Miro Heiskanen wear Jetspeeds. The Tacks line is built for power — a stiffer, more anatomical boot with a neutral pitch that excels on straight-line strides and heavy shots. It's favored by players like John Tavares and Victor Hedman.

CCM has consolidated its lineup over the years. The Ribcor line (a flexible, comfort-oriented boot for players who favored a natural stride) was discontinued after 2021. Before that, the SuperTacks name was used for what is now the Tacks line. The most significant recent innovation is the RocketFrame one-piece composite shell, introduced with the Jetspeed FT6 Pro and carried forward into the FT8 Pro (2025) with a new +6mm heel pitch for quicker acceleration.
